eBooks at the Library

What You Need to Get Started

  • An internet connection via PC, Mac, or select mobile devices.
  • A valid library card and your password.
  • Free, required software: Software not required for Kindle, but must have an Amazon account.

How It Works

Step 1: Browse
Browse the Library's eBook Collection – search books by title, subject, author, or format.

Step 2: Check Out
Add selections to your ‘Cart.’ If a title we own is not available, you may place a hold. You’ll receive an email when the title is available.
Click on the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ link.

Step 3: Download and enjoy!
Click “Get for Kindle” or “Download” to enjoy your title.

Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period.  There are no late fees!

Enjoy On the Go

After Checkout, most titles can be read on a mobile device such as Kindle, iPod, or Sony Reader.

For most eReader devices (Nook, Kobo, Sony devices without WiFi, etc.): Open Adobe Digital Editions, drag and drop the title onto the device name on the left panel. After the transfer is complete, you may disconnect your device and enjoy your title on the go.

For Kindle: Click “Get for Kindle” to retrieve your download from Amazon.com. Select the Kindle or Kindle reading app in which to deliver the title.
