Making a Mural: What's the Difference Between Street Art & Graffiti?

PastThursday, September 05, 2019 - 04:00 PM - 06:00 PM

Local artist Liz Richter will give a presentation about the growing world of street art and how an artist goes about planning a large-scale mural. Students will add to the library’s “street art wall” and sketch their own concept for a mural. Richter will choose several of the student’s sketches to inspire the Mini-Mural that she will create for the Maker Faire on September 28th. Students will also take home a handout on how to plan their own (legal) mural, how to create a stencil, and receive a sticker of Richter’s original work. Registration is required, please call 964-3515 or email liz.magee@lfpl.org. Ages 12-18
