Louisville Bridges and the New Big Four
PastWednesday, May 29, 2013 - Starts at 02:30 PM
Bridging the Ohio River has been one of Louisville's greatest challenges since the first span was erected in 1870. The Big Four Railroad Bridge has a complex and controversial history, and its recent re-opening as a pedestrian walkway between Kentucky and Indiana has re-focused interest in the structure. Historian Rick Bell will chronicle the development of bridges throughout Louisville's history and provide insights into the revived Big Four Bridge, the newest heritage tourism attraction in the city
