The mission of the Library’s Kentucky History and Genealogy collection is to ensure that residents of Metro Louisville and users living far beyond its borders will have reliable access to primary and secondary source materials of historical and genealogical value well into the future.
The collection is located on the 2nd floor of the Main Library.

SAVE THE DATE: Genealogy Day 2013 is scheduled for Saturday, March 23Genealogy Day is the Louisville Free Public Library’s annual all-day conference for beginning and experienced genealogists alike. Participants will learn valuable methods to research their family history from experienced presenters and can use the library's rich print, microfilm and online collection of resources to trace their family genealogy.
