We received really good feedback from those that attended. Next Monday, July 27th, Melissa Payton from Baptist East Hospital’s Human Resources Department will come and speak on Interviewing Tips & Techniques. The Monday Night Series for job seekers will continue through the end of October. Every Monday evening from 6-7, a speaker will address different issues of interest to Job Seekers. If you are looking for a job, or studying for your GED, here’s a website you should get to know: FastForward Kentucky Videos On Demand Anyone who lives in Kentucky has free access to the information on this great site. The site is broken into 4 main categories: GED Connection, Pre-GED Connection, Workplace Essentials Skills, and TV411 which has information on practical reading and writing in everyday life. If you are job hunting, or even if you already have a job, the Workplace Essentials section has some great videos on interviewing, applying for jobs, how to communicate in a work environment, etc. The videos run about 26 minutes each. They are high quality and have a lot of useful information.
