You have probably already noticed on the right hand side of this webpage the guide to websites for job searching, resume writing and other job and career related material on the internet. We’ve just added a new website to the Job Listings category,
LinkUp. LinkUp is a website with over 22,000 job postings from company websites around the country. Many job websites, such as Monster.com or LouisvilleWorks.com, require you to register with the site in order to apply for a posted job. LinkUp simply posts the job listing and links you to the application on the company website. You can create an account with LinkUp to access some of the more advanced features but it is not necessary. So if you're searching for jobs and want to go straight to the application process, give LinkUp a try.
Also, check out the next workshop in our Monday Night Series for job seekers, "Effective Interview Techniques and Job Hunting Strategies", presented by Terry Kiblioski of Sullivan College on August 3 at 6 PM. The Monday Night Series provides workshops and seminars lead by representatives of business organizations and other business leaders in our community. Their presentations will help job seekers search for jobs, create resumes, prepare for an interview and more. The series will run through the end of October, every Monday from 6-7 PM in the Job Shop.
Remember, if you found a job through the Job Shop we would love to hear about it. Fill out a comment card in the Job Shop or give us a call at 574-1723.
