Career Exploration
Don't know what career you are interested in? Aren’t sure where your skills could be of most value? Career exploration and assessment tools can help. If you are looking for a job, these tools can make sure you are looking in the area that would be the best fit for you. And if you are already employed, they can help you know if you are on the right path or guide you if you are considering a career change.

Careeronestop has a Career Exploration section that will help you determine which career is the right choice for you. It can assist you with assessment tests, help you explore career options and then tell you what you need to do to gain the skills needed for that career. Job Shop Internet Links
Week one of the Job Shop was a big success. We assisted over 100 patrons with resumes, finding job postings, learning to type, completing applications online and much more. Hopefully you have had a chance to come in and visit us. If not, please do. We’d love to show you around. We are open Monday -Thursday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

The Job Shop is also available to help you outside of our regular hours through our Web site. On this web site, we have gathered together some of the best information on jobs and careers available on the Internet. You will find everything from help writing a resume to the information you need to negotiate a fair salary. Please take some time to look around.

We wanted to take a quick moment to point out the links on the right side of the page and mention a couple of our favorites: Careeronestop and Kentuckiana Occupational Outlook . Careeronestop , from the U.S. Dept. of Labor, provides job seekers with information and assistance on topics including resume writing, job markets, unemployment, education and retraining, salaries and benefits, and more. Kentuckiana Occupational Outlook is produced by Kentuckiana Works and is a picture of the employment outlook for the Louisville metropolitan area.

Both of these Web sites offer lots of good, quality information. If you are looking for a job or thinking about changing careers, then both sites will prove helpful.
