What do these events have in common? They are all "Random Acts of Kindness." A random act of kindness is when you do something nice for someone--not because you were told to, not because you have to, not because it is the "right" thing to do. You do it because you just feel like being nice!
What does this have to do with Teen Summer Reading? If you perform a random act of kindness, you can count that toward your requirements for completing the Summer Reading program! You get rewarded--just for being nice.
Want to kill two birds with one stone? Post your random act of kidness on this blog and we can count that toward your TSR requirements as well!

So I was siting out on the library steps waiting for my mothe to come pick me up from the library and it was the same thing that day, a man, clearly homeless by noting the 'things' he pushed around in his luxury shopping cart. Insead of just passing me with a kind wave, he left his things at the bottom of the stares and carefully approached a library employe as he was exiting the building and kindly BEGGED for a drink, or at least one from a water fountain. after continuously doing this the man rudely replied, "No!" And walked away in all his false beauty. So! I, with my half drunken soda at hand, offered the frink to him, and he gladly took it with a simple, "Thank you!" Long story short, he was done with it by the time he reached the end of the stairs. Okay, mayb it wasnt so random, but hey, it was kind, right?
