Join COLLIDER Artist-in-Residence Jillian Timberlake for this Beautifully Broken Modern Kintsugi workshop. During this workshop, you will explore the pieces of your own story as you navigate the process of Modern Kintsugi. Through guided writing exercises interspersed through the Modern Kintsugi repair process, you will reflect on the many pieces of your life and how each piece plays a part in the bigger picture. Writing prompts from Jillian’s book Gold & Clay: Exploring the Pieces of Your Story will be incorporated throughout the workshop.
You will leave with a completed piece of Modern Kintsugi pottery and a Beautifully Broken journal to continue exploring your own story through writing. All pottery will be provided. Due to time limitations, please do not bring your own piece of pottery to repair. Please arrive on time, as it will take the full workshop time to complete the process.
