DESCRIPTION:<p style="background-color:white;"><strong>THIS CLASS IS FULL</strong></p><p style="background-color:white;">As the first program in a three-part series, local artist and COLLIDER Artist-in-Residence&nbsp;Makara Thach Sernett will lead a guided, step-by-step painting workshop at the South Central Regional Library. Inspired by the symbolism of the lotus flower within Cambodian Buddhist artistic traditions, the workshop explores the flower that is born in mud and instinctively reaches toward the light, blooming while untouched by its origins. Participants are invited to reflect on how the circumstances of one’s beginning do not determine one’s future through painting and guided reflection. Ages 13-99. &nbsp;Space is limited and registration is required.&nbsp;</p>
