Yalonda JD Green , PhD is a vocalist, poet, improviser, and all-around creative jane from Detroit. As children's librarian, she combines herselves as performer, educator, and literacy hypewoman at the Louisville Free Public Library’s South Central Regional Library. Combining vocal jazz and other song elements in her storytelling have garnered Dr. Londy a few monikers—The Singing Librarylady, The Jazzy Librarian—and wonderful invitations to share songs and stories with a diversity of listeners. Whether she’s Ms. Yalonda or Dr. Londy to them, kids (and grownups!) are disarmed by the fun songs and fall in love with her dynamic storytelling. |

Our featured resource this month is our library's virtual bookshelves. You can click on one to find an online story time, activities, fun videos, links to additional content and recommended reading lists put together by our children's staff.
