Teen Summer Reading

The Teen Summer Reading Program is free and open to 6th- through 12th-graders.

To participate:

Register online for Teen Summer Reading, read 6 books, eBooks, magazines, or graphic novels and do 1 activity – like writing a book review or designing a new cover for a favorite book – between June 1 and August 6, return the form to any public library location by August 8 and get these great prizes:

  • Sling backpack
  • FREE Passes to Kentucky Science Center, Locust Grove, Rauch Planetarium, Louisville Bats game, Squire Boone Caverns, and the Frazier History Museum
  • FREE classes at Hwang's Martial Arts
  • FREE Frosty from Wendy’s
  • FREE Lemon Ice from Fazoli’s
  • FREE Passes to U of L sporting events

Who can participate? 6th - 12th graders may participate in the program one time during the summer. You must be present to receive prizes and you cannot collect prizes on the same day you receive your folder.

Also be entered to win one of these Grand Prizes:

  • $100 gift card to Barnes & Noble
  • A tablet computer
  • UofL football tickets
