HISTORY
The Bon Air Library opened on October 1964 on land presented by the Bon Air Estates. The building was renovated and doubled in size to 17,888 square feet in 1992-93, expanding its collection to 63,693 items. City of Louisville Alderwoman Barbara Gregg provided funding to add an outdoor reading garden on the east side of the building in 1994. The reading garden features a statue by Louisville sculptor Barney Bright donated by the Meadow Heights Women's Club in 1965.
