Briana Frederick: Meet the Goats

Join fiber artist Briana Frederick and meet Betty and Boon. Betty and Boon are two Nigora goats. They are an integral part of her weaving business as well as neighborhood celebrities. They go for walks to graze and every spring Briana collects their precious down fiber for her work. Come meet the goats, feel their down, learn about where cashmere and other fibers come from and what they're used for. You will also learn what urban goat tending is like. Goats are prey animals and become stressed by running and bombardment so please accompany children at all times. This will be an outdoor event so come dressed for it!
