Cotter Cup Storytelling Contest Awards Ceremony

About this event

Body

In 1913, renowned Louisville poet, educator, and community leader Joseph S. Cotter, Sr. started an annual storytelling contest for children at the Western Library.  The Louisville Free Public Library, in partnership with the UofL Writing Center, brought the Cotter Cup Storytelling Contest back to Western in 2021. Open to all Louisville students, grades K-12, the contest now focuses on storytelling through poetry.

Come join us to hear poetry from our finalists and help us to celebrate the winners and their achievement.

Call (502) 574-1779 for more information.
