Discover the world of henna in this fun and educational class. Popular with the young and young at heart, henna (Mehndi) body art is a safe, natural, and temporary form of body adornment that originates in Egypt, North Africa, India and the Middle East and is used in many cultures and celebrations. It has been found in Egyptian tombs, Beards of Vikings and traveled across the Silk Road throughout Europe in the Middle ages! In this class, you will learn how to make and apply henna, along with exploring the world history and cultural traditions behind this still-popular 5,000 year-old art form. Attendees may get a small henna applied if they so desire.  Henna supplies, printed instructions and step by step design sheets provided. Ages 12-18.
