3-D Fiber Forms: Crafting Sculptural Textiles

Join COLLIDER Artist-in-Residence Nancy DeSanctis for this 3-D Fiber Forms workshop. This workshop is aimed at transforming flat materials into dynamic, abstract sculptures. You will engage in a guided exploration, starting with the creation of paper templates for your desired forms. You’ll have the opportunity to choose from a diverse array of fabrics, which you’ll iron onto a stiff fusible material. From there, you’ll trace your templates onto the material, cut out your shapes and fuse them together to create a truly unique work of art. Space is limited, email liz.magee@lfpl.org to register.
