Flamenco Louisville: A Cultural Pass Event

Flamenco Louisville performs authentic flamenco dance and music, bringing a little bit of Spain to the Metro area.  Dancers in colorful costumes will perform lively and dramatic numbers with expressive arms and rhythmic footwork.  Audience members will be asked to join in with words of encouragement (“jaleos”) and hand-clapping (“palmas”). 

Flamenco is a system of singing, music and dance indigenous to the southern region of Spain called Andalucia.  Flamenco Louisville is an inclusive, participatory community of dancers, musicians, teachers and aficionados who wish to keep the Flamenco experience alive though we live far from Spain. All ages, free event.
