From History to Story: Till Taught by Pain, a biography told through fiction

Author Susan Coventry will discuss her new novel, Till Taught by Pain.  Susan’s book tells the story of Dr. William S. Halsted, the first Chief of Surgery at the brand-new Johns Hopkins Hospital and his struggles with addiction.  She will also talk about ways to transform history into fiction while staying as true as possible to the historical facts.
