IMPACT: Safe Driving for Teens
About this event
Body
Designed for new and soon-to-be drivers, IMPACT helps high school students understand the risks of reckless and distracted driving—and how both drivers and passengers can play a role in preventing crashes. The program also covers Kentucky’s Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) laws. Students engage in interactive activities using drug- and alcohol-impaired goggles to experience the effects of impaired driving firsthand. They will complete tasks like operating a remote-control car, performing sobriety field tests, and more. Presented by Norton Children’s Prevention and Wellness. Recommended for ages 14–17.
