Machine Sewing 200: It’s All About the Feet

About this event

Body

Join local maker (and previous COLLIDER Artist) Jenny Stopher for this workshop, intended for anyone who already knows how to sew, or the confident beginner who knows how to use a sewing machine and basic sewing techniques. Ever wonder about those strange looking presser feet that came with the sewing machine? If you’ve ever heard the phrase “use the right tool for the right job,” it applies to sewing machine feet too. Knowing how to use these unique feet will take your sewing skills up a notch. You will get the most out of your sewing machine, save time, and your results will be more professional. This workshop will cover a variety of presser feet that you may come across including: zigzag foot, blind hem foot, buttonhole foot, edgestitch foot, walking foot, pin tuck foot, and the overlock foot. You will walk away with a notebook full of samples for you to reference for future projects. Ages 13-99. To register, email Liz.Magee@lfpl.org
