Main Off-Broadway Play Reading Series: Rope
About this event
Body
Main Off-Broadway Play Reading Series is our new monthly program that brings to life classic plays that have recently entered the public domain. Each month, these dramatic readings, performed by talented local actors, will showcase a different play.
April: Rope, written by Patrick Hamilton in 1929 and inspired by real-life murder of 14 year old Bobby Franks in 1924, tells the tale of two young men who believe they have pulled off the perfect crime - but can they get away with it? Hitchcock adapted this play for the screen in 1948 in his thriller of the same name.
Main Off-Broadway is a free event and all are welcome to attend, but space is limited. Registration is requested online or or by calling (502) 574-1623.
