Writing for Change and Community Advocacy

This workshop teaches the importance of advocacy writing and encourages individuals to get comfortable supporting their policy opinions through letter writing to legislators. By the end of the session, participants will have learned how to research into their policy concerns, identify the appropriate legislator to communicate with, and effectively craft a persuasive letter. The workshop will also contain dedicated time for letter writing, so everyone will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the genre.
