Summer Reading & Cultural Pass Kickoff

Saturday, June 3, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Main Library

Join us at the Summer Reading & Cultural Pass Kickoff on Saturday, June 3rd between 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Main Library.

LFPL’s Summer Reading Program and Cultural Pass start June 1 and are FREE to all area youth. You can register now for both programs online or by downloading the Beanstack Tracker app (for iOS or Android). Cultural Passes will be available for pickup June 1st.

Hoopla Kids

LFPL is now offering hoopla

Hoopla* provides free access to streaming kid's movies, popular music, audiobooks, and more – with no wait! All of this content is available to library patrons online at and via the hoopla app. To get started:

  • Visit
  • Click on Get Started Today and complete the form.
  • Next, choose Louisville Free Public Library
  • Enter a valid Library Card number and PIN/password.
  • Once taken to the site, click on KIDS besides the search box to start enjoying the content.

Book Bundles for Kids

Parents can request Book Bundles, which are a collection of 10 books that you can check out for your family. Each bundle will be checked out to your library card for 21 days. Book Bundles will include a variety of age appropriate books for your child.

Our digital library is full of eBooks, audiobooks, and eComics for kids to enjoy! We have picture books, early readers, comics, chapter books, activity books, and read-aloud video titles. We regularly add new titles for kids to make it easy to find something great for your child to read or listen to.
